I wonder if the political party representative would have made an issue of the guy’s past if he were of the same party. It seems curious to raise such an issue over a fairly low-level, non-partisan, position.

Regardless, the candidate has served his time, has had his rights restored, and has owned up to his status, so I hope he succeeds.

I love it when politicians claim children are resources. By definition, a resource is a thing used or exploited for whatever purpose until its usefulness has ended or completely consumed, and then discarded. Accordingly, such statements are perfectly accurate, in that those same politicians would kill and eat those same precious children on live television if it would give them more political stature.

Being denied, shunned and ridiculed for your past, It’s actually far, far worse than any physical or mental disability known.
