The IML went into effect last February.
Eventually, yes. It has not been implemented yet.

You should not ask them to put a stamp in your passport. The mark is placed there when it will be issued.

You are incorrect about the latter part of your statement "only Offenders that have been Convicted of Sex Trafficking or Sex with children overseas"

In reply to <a href="https://floridaactioncommittee.org/acsol-notice-of-appeal-filed-in-iml-case/comment-page-1/#comment-4876">Karen</a>.

Please answer my question !!!. Did this law go into effect ?? Do ALL S.O's have to get the Stamp on their Passport ????. The reason I'm asking is, I've been to the Customs Office 3 TIMES, And even have a letter from the Agent stating that they (Customs) don't know anything about this law, And REFUSE to stamp my Passport !! The last time I was there to "Comply' with this New law was LAST MONDAY 8/6/2017 !!!!!!!!. The Customs Agent said he would forward my information to the State Department so this matter could be Cleared Up, Because he/Customs Office has had several Offenders come requesting the same thing !! According to Customs, There is NO LAW that requires ALL Offenders to get the "Stamp" !! He said only Offenders that have been Convicted of Sex Trafficking or Sex with children overseas !!. Please help clear up this law !!!!!!

About IML - I just read an article that said that the IML guidelines are based on the SORNA tiers. If this is correct of course it can harm some RSOs that are removed from sanctions in their state but have not met the SORNA tiers requirement. However, in some cases (if accurate) it can help some people for instance in FL where everyone is on the registry for life. The SORNA tiers designate 15 years (10 with out new violations) for crimes like possession of CP. Does this mean that a FL RSO convicted of CP possession would not have the IML stamp on their passport after 10 years? Also, does the time frame start from the IML start date or the RSOs conviction date? Also, if it goes by SORNA "rules" how do they treat adjudication withheld?
