This is what I posted on the source website (heavy dose od sarcasm) : "Avatar Jim 16 hours ago Good thing he was a sex offender with an outstanding warrant. We don't want people dressed like that in public and had he no criminal history, we may not have been able to stop him. We don't like different people. Hell, he may not even identify as a Male. That would be crazy!" Some people say im passive-aggressive !

If he indeed skipped his court date and had a warrant, I personally do not feel sorry for him. If you cannot bother to show up to court and speak your side of a story and circumstances, how do you expect to have any credibility ? Should a judge over look court skippers?
“He was booked on outstanding warrants for failure to appear in court”.
As much as we all want to support each other in our cause, if he had previous outstanding warrants, and didn’t turn himself in or get a lawyer or anything, seems he really didn’t care? The article is vague but based on that the arrest seems legal, at least for the warrants. Probably were trying to locate him for the warrants and followed him to the parade.

He did not “draw attention to himself.” The STATE drew attention to him by placing him on a public registry. Had the state not done that, would anyone have noticed him?

first notice his crime didn’t involve children in the first place (the media would have been sure to mention it)
second imagine for a minute if he would have murdered children or burnt them alive in a house, or ran them over drinking and driving..This story would be one about redemption and how the misguided could be saved and join the parade to show their desire to give back to the community..
third they say there was a public outcry..how did anyone know who he was in costume?

I’ve seen a lot more outlandish outfits than what he wore. Not sure how it would draw so much outrage or how anyone in the crowd would even know he was an offender. Maybe, they didn’t. If a person has outstanding warrants, it’s best not to do something like this. That’s the lesson I take away from it.
