They really don't understand the consequences that could arise if a law like this were to pass. And , not until those consequences impacted them or someone they cared about would they regret their actions and their contempt of everyone on the registry. According to them, we are all capable of unspeakable evil - if they support any type of castration they should be worried.

I'm beginning to think Alabama has more inbreds than floriduh does. Or either it's a very close tie.

So now you cant get an abortion in Alabama, and now your gonna be castrated if you're ADJUDICATED GUILTY of a sex crime with a minor under 13. Remember, you can be ACCUSED of this crime, charged and adjudicated and be totally innocent, but it'll apply to you. With all the vindictive girlfriends and ex wives out there, this is a GREAT weapon for them to use now in Alabama if they wanna get back at their baby daddies and they have a child under 13. That's scary.

And this is coming from the same state that fought civil rights and integration tooth and nail and the home of George Wallace. Their track record on human rights isn't exactly stellar.

If this is how they're treating people now in Alabama, can you imagine how their ancestors treated African American slaves back in the day when there was hardly any accountability in the court system back then? Disturbing.

Is Alabama closer to Canada or Saudi Arabia in its ideology and approach to society? I believe that if the people of Alabama could legally make the Bible, particularly the Old Testament, their only source of law (as in "The Handmade's Tale"), the majority would vote to do so. They clearly do not believe in the United States Constitution, given the number of obviously unconstitutional laws they have recently passed. Perhaps Alabama would feel more comfortable seceding from the United States and forming their own theocratic republic. I say we let them go.

They could bite my ass before I'd let them do that to me. The only way I can see it is I'd it is a choice made in place of a longer prison sentence. Are they planning on retroactively applying this as well?

Also, the only study is inconclusive.
