The following is my e-mail i just sent to the author:

great story also don't forget that most sex offender's offend to someone there related to or close friends of also sex offenders have the lowest recidivism rate next to murder. it is all political cause anytime the word sex is used in media it brings attention ie. election results they claim if only one child is saved
well if only one child is saved mentality is the actually truth why don’t they have harsher laws for dunk drivers as drinking and driving has harmed more people, I suppose the answer to that is that a lot of politicians would be pictured.

Over the last 15 years every one hated sex offenders but as more family members are being labeled sex offender's the tide is slowly turning and people are slowly waking up. The court has classified sex offender registration laws civil and not punitive but let someone for get to register or move without notifying law enforcement the sentence for these so called civil violations that the offender receives usually amount to a greater sentence than for the original crime.

I can provide you with statistics on drunk driving compared to sex offenders and the source if you like.

If it saves one child there should be a public shaming list of drunk drivers so I will know not to let my child ride with her friends parents. also anyone convicted of drinking and driving should be required to stay at least 2500 ft. away from where alcohol is sold or served and can’t reside within 2500 ft. of said locations either as it just might save one child so it will be worth it.
