Dana – Utah must be a much more civilized, rational and intelligent state than Florida. They are still trying to ratchet up the punishment here.

I think the registry has become too diluted with thousands and thousands of names and faces that pose no threat at all. How are we supposed to know who is dangerous and who was just made an example of by the courts? Personally, I think the registry is ineffective in many different ways and needs to be abolished altogether, but I will start by being happy with baby steps.

Utah has already had a system that most offenders could be removed from the registry after a certain amount of years.
