I read a couple of years ago that Janice Belucci then head of RSOL was setting one up.
If that and other funds have not evolved by now into a force that discourages careerist DA’s from charging people innocent of harm in the first place, then it has not been set up or managed well enough to be effective.
That means someone besides RSOL should try. It takes money to set up a legal defense fund. And the basic organizational structure, assuring the money will be used responsibly.
Can anybody do it?

That sounds like a great idea, starting a fund for lawyers to or lobbyist to litigate, these issues. I would definitely contribute!!

I have lived here all my life and don’t see much progress as far as the justice system. It is just as archaic as most other states, even though the legislators and governor like to think of themselves as Progressive. Our last governor, who is now running for president actually vetoed a law that would have prevented anyone with conflicts of interest being able to sit on the board. Claimed it was “overbroad”. I think about Hick everytime I hear that someone fails the polygraph test and has to shell out another $250 to retake it. If the polygraph is so valuable, why would anyone be allowed to retake it and yet those I know who failed have passed on subsequent tries. Much of this can be attributed to the person administering the test. It’s a regular racket in my opinion. Hope is not good enough. You are going to have to do something to realize your wish. Do you want to end your days hoping for justice and a better world without seeing it become true?

You must act to realize your hope. Organize all parents of kids on the registry to boycott all Florida products, all US companies, all countries with registries.

That is only part of the answer. You can think of other actions.
