So amendment 4 A felon can go out and commit a crimes gets to vote then goes out commits another crime and becomes a habitual felon and gets to vote. But a person who gets a sex crime on them finishes their sentences Remains arrest and conviction free for 8 years can’t get to vote. This totally Bull$hit.. There is no justice any more So Many Haters out there but there behavior was worst them mine and they get to hold office. I am a shame that my family fought and died for this country that it goes backwards on basic human rights… Question for you Politicans.. If You don’t want us here and you don’t want us to leave You give us two choices death or prison! So what do you want from us?

Does this Amendment permanently ban sex offenders and murderers from receiving their rights, or do they have to continue the clemancy process as before?

In reply to Florida Action Committee. Hello. Just curious One aspect of the Amendment. What if, as in my case 20 years ago, I was convicted(pled nolo contendre actually) of an “Attempt” at a sexual offense? I think it might be able to be argued that since “Attempted” murder isn’t a prohibited status for rights restoration neither would anyone with an attempt at a sexual offense. Thoughts? Oh, and thanks for all you do.

In reply to bill. Correct - a person who committed crimes other than murder or a sex offense will be entitled to vote when their sentence is completed, automatically, under Amendment 4. Hi!
