It’s good to see that “stalking” lawsuit didn’t discourage Derek Logue (Once Fallen) from his activism!
Check out the below letter to the editor that was printed in the Miami Herald concerning the homeless encampment in Miami-Dade. He hits the nail on the head in pointing the finger for the debacle directly where it belongs!
Kudos!

I just like to imagine ol’ Ron & Lauren sitting up in their ivory tower in Aventura sipping their morning witch’s brew, reading the paper, seeing this, and spitting their witch’s brew all over the place.
Give em hell Derek better yet give em the truth
What if every one on the S.O.R- or who has a loved one on the S.O.R, followed Derek Logue as a template who puts in %100 of his time-effort -fighting-exposing this evil S.O.R!
If everyone just put in %1 of activism against this evil S.O.R, things would Change- happen fast!
Sad to say but it is true, %90 of those on the S,O.R are inactive- rely on the %10 to fight-opposes-stand up for their rights, refuse to be used- being a political football to be kicked around for the fame-fortune-political aspiration by their standing on your face Like Ron=Lauren Book, quit being cannon fodder for them- get out of the %90 S.O.R do nothing crowd- join the %10-fight back!
99% are Inactive.
Well Anthony, it’s like this. When an RSO gets out of prison. 10 times out of 10 he/she is on probation for 5+ years because the probation industrial complex machine needs to keep spinning and providing idiots with jobs. So, the average released RSO who is on probation has to spend 25-30$ a week in required therapy costs. If they have a monitor, which most do, then it’s over $200 a month in probation costs, $60 if you don’t have one, like I do. I got lucky. Then you figure a released RSO has to scramble to find a place to live and the average rent anywhere depending on the number of people who live there is at minimum $450-$1000 a month. Plus you need a phone and pay your share of the bills, etc… Then you figure in the $200+ polygraph test they make you pay for every year. And since hardly any one of us have a professional salaried job that will more than cover the costs of all this shit, oh yeah, none of us have health insurance either, so we have to pay for that, thanks Obama. So unless people are blessed like I am and actually have 3 jobs, yes 3, to get them by, then they will have to work like hell just to survive and pay their required bills each month. Oh, and don’t get too excited, my 3 part time jobs only net me $1800 a month. Hardly anything to live on with rent, car payment and insurance, probation, therapy, etc… So yeah, who has time for activism when you’re working your ass off?? I’d love to do more than I have, but most of us also can’t travel to attend hearings or rally’s or what have you, so there’s that too. And many of us aren’t allowed on the internet, I too got lucky on that as well. So, I do what I can. I write letters, I leave comments, etc. But as I said before, people much, much, much more powerful than us and who have way way way more amounts of money than we do are going to need to help us take down people like Ron Book and make our voices heard in Tallahassee. But at the end of the day, the people in charge don’t care about us or our welfare as human beings, so we have to figure out how to MAKE them care. That’s the key. And if we can find a way to take away their money and cash cows, that would be a start. But yeah, the “99%” of the inactives are working their asses off just to make it, so give them a little break. **But their families could sure pitch in, don’t get me wrong.
