This stings are totally bogus. How is it that a high school graduate with a badge and gun is allowed to use deception–a form of coercion–to induce a person to commit a crime and wreck that person’s life? In no other vocation is deception / force allowed to take place. These stings are unethical, do not capture pedophiles, and are an exaggerated response to a perceived threat of harm to children. The truth is, most 14, 15, and 16 year olds would stop talking to someone online (and offline) with someone who is much, much older than them. These internet sex stings are a witch hunt–a moral panic.

These “stings” are very troubling. It’s a slippery slope for sure. Our Consitution should be held as the highest regard.

That seems to be the recurring theme. Take this plea or we intend to charge you with … and you’ll be facing 20 years. Especially with CP cases. Take 5 years or they will charge you with a separate count for each image and you’ll be facing 20 years!

With these bogus sting cases, people always ask “if they weren’t guilty why did they take the plea?” They don’t understand that in this country, you’re threatened with decades behind bars unless you agree to take something that seems light by comparison. It’s purely time economics.

Since my son is presently in prison for this scam. I am very interested in the outcome. Every time I see something my son would be interested I send it so him. He has been doing a lot of research and hopes to get released and help Trey with his fight. I have been trying to write and do whatever I can to help. My son was going to fight. At the last minute the Judge told his lawyer that if went to court and lost it would cost him 20 years or he could take five without going to court. How could he take that chance. Juries are so emotional when it comes to children that they are easily swayed that they are automatically guilty.

My son also got set up on their entrapments on the internet, pretending you are talking on an adult site and they switch and bait. So many very good men being lied to and wrecking their lives. Sure wish there was a committee there to in Arizona as they are just blowing them in the jails there.
