I will NEVER, ever do an online reporting. I want in person, hard copy proof of whatever I have to register. When the sheet hits the fan when you do not have proof, it is your word against there’s, and the courts will not take your word for it.
Do as you like but if they can email you a confirmation that you registered something, and you can print it out, ok. Otherwise, you are taking a gamble, a risk and possible never getting removed from the registry, or worse, going back to prison.
Before anyone jumps on me, there have been several such incidents were that happened because the registered person had no hard proof the information was updated. This is especially important if you live in one of the counties that are run by “Good old boys” law enforcement.
