I am conflicted about joining this call. I honestly have major problems with the way I was treated by federal probation officers for over a decade. To be fair, one probation officer eventually asked the court to terminate my supervision early. The officer seemingly realized that lifetime supervision for a cp possession case whereby I followed every rule, passed every polygraph (even specific issue exams on being innocent), passed every drug and alcohol test, passed every computer check, etc. was grounds enough to request relief for me. I was shocked and certainly pleased by this given the obvious change in how I was being treated. I began federal supervision under constant threats of being sent back to prison and denied nearly every request for modification - even to attend church. For some reason, my supervision status went from "you will never get off supervision" and "we'll just send you back to prison" and "tell it to the judge" because I maintained my innocence (a First Amendment Right) to "the US Probation Office hereby requests the supervision be terminated." (Paraphrasing) So, one officer out of many finally did the right thing. What did US District Judge John Antoon do with the request? He granted it but sealed the record so nobody can see it without going through him.
