Florida’s recently enacted SB 212 / HB 45, effective July 1, 2026? I am writing to inquire whether the Florida Action Committee, or any affiliated organizations such as the ACLU, SPLC, or constitutional law faculty at Florida universities, are currently planning or have initiated a constitutional challenge to Florida’s recently enacted SB 212 / HB 45 (effective July 1, 2026).

What makes this one different is that it is punitive. I have looked up the punitive-effects doctrine articulated in Smith v. Doe and subsequent decisions such as Does v. Snyder and Commonwealth v. Muniz. I have a list of 8 constitutional law professors. I am will to help research and pay. Please contact me. Bill

So it’s the wild west where anything goes and collateral damage means nothing.

Yet I’m willing to wager that 99% of everyone listed on the tegistry is innocent of what all these sex laws, restrictions, requiements and guidelines ATTEMPT to prevent.

What it comes to anything sex crime pile on laws, there’s nothing “rational” about meeting the rational basis threshold. .

So in essence, the courts are protecting the security theater cottage industry, not children.

Florida needs PFR’s on their registry to get their money from the Feds. But they want PFR’s either out of Florida or in their prisons because legislators say they need to protect the public. Then, as John Oliver revealed, Florida uses the money to manufacture crimes to support their need. Sounds like the addictive cycle of an addict. Perhaps, Florida needs to enroll itself in a 12-step program called Got-to-lie-to-get-more-money addicts anonymous.

This is a question and I may put this out wrong place. Does FAC hace resilience instructors for living. I was a resilience instructor in the military to help those deal with just life and over coming. Was a SHARP representative or first responders for sexual assault or harassment which I find ironic with my charge. But this as a course could help and could be taught online over phone even to zoom. Please I can help anyone look into it

In reply to Connie. I'm sorry this was devastating. Restrictions for ex military even more demoralizing. Right now we need to change leadership and governorship in the state to reopen reform programs. Even veterans have no reform programs in florida and DEPT of CORRECTIONS states no plans and their will be non. Since current leadership been in place no real reform has happened to criminal justice to get people truly back into society on any crime and level of crime. We also have to maybe wait for the federal leadership to change for it seems they are targeting us now to and i feel depressed my own government is fought for is now weaponized against me
