How can they do this? What if it's part of your religion?
You could always claim it is, and they can't prove any differently. Does anybody think that these ordinances would stand up in court?

I keep saying that, especially with people who took plea agreements, their terms were delineated. Any further restrictions are being applied without due process. They can't argue that due process was part of your original sentencing, when your original sentencing was very specific and didn't include these new restrictions.

RIght and as far as I know. If not on probation and no city or county restrictions you can do whatever you want. NOW that being said, why put yourself in a position to be scrutinized. I usual go to the gym but I always am at the gym until 7 to 7:30. This year it's on a Saturday so I most likely will be home and my wife always leaves the porch light on 365 days a year nothing new so IDK. Even though I am not under any restrictions a porch light counting as "partcipation" Is a sun to pluto stretch.

Yep, you're right, no decorating but the sign thing was never an ordinance that was enacted.

I think that everyone knows about the other stuff like no decorating, no answering doors unless you are expecting someone, no giving out candy.

Exhibit 2 of the lawsuit shows that many Florida counties have a restriction, though not all apply it to decorating.

Ah so the county is dinging you. So basically, if you are off paper and there is no city or county ordinance then your good. That could be why they stopped coming around 7 years ago. It was a city detective and I told him. 1. I am not on probation and 2. we don't celebrate anyway. Never came by again. My registry officer came back early this month and I was waiting. It was about 2 weeks after my rotator cuff repair surgery, so I was not sleeping anyway so I saw him pull up and went you chatted for 2 - 3 minutes and that was that. No mention of Halloween at all.
