Florida is a horrible place for a registrant. Oregon is much better.

Capt., I, too, thank you for your service and thank God you and your daughter are together. My son is currently in prison in Oregon and his daughter is with her Grandpa in Florida. My son hopes to get an interstate transfer to Florida, get his life back on track, then get custody of his daughter. When he is released she will be seven years old. However, from what I’m Reading online, Florida seems to be a state that sets sex offenders up for failure in housing and in the workforce. Any advice? Of course it goes without saying there will be much prayer!

Before I ended up in prison, I thought that all inmates had to be good for nothing thugs, just like in the movies. I’m sure most people are like that, unless they have seen the truth for themselves. I met some very fine people in prison, many of whom are also sex offenders. It’s one of the few good things that my experience there taught me. I just don’t judge people so harshly anymore.

I’m still fighting until we get this craziness eliminated. I keep the newspapers, TV stations, and bureaucrats on the ‘hook’ until they wake up. It is important that the public is educated. So many of our citizenry are led around like sheep by power seeking politicians who will sell their souls and the souls of all who will follow their false leadership.
