Were you my neighbor, I would insist on learning ANY information about your past poor choices that could put my family in danger. Why don’t I have a right to that information?

If, G-d forbid, a loved one of yours becomes a victim of a sexual crime, it won’t come from someone already convicted of a sex crime. Trust me on this. Learn how to protect your family, don’t take your eye off the ball!
