As is Bob, I am also a military retiree. But with the exception of a very few, my service means nothing now because I am a registered citizen. I am detained and vilified every time I go on a military base to receive medical care. I haven’t been back since my last harrowing experience when I was forced to wait over an hour before being allowed to go to the emergency room! Even then I wasn’t allowed to drive my car on base, an ambulance was sent to get me. I wish I could sue the bastards.
