In reply to Rick. After doing some research it says there are over 2,200 RSO’s in Miami Dade as of 2022, and of the 2,200 less than 500 do not have a permanent address and are looking for one, and/or cannot afford a place of residence at this time.

Most homelessness is caused by the government in the first place. They are not going to fix it. They are going to find a way to feed dollars to their buddies however.

I agree with you 100% that the Miami-Dade homeless numbers doesn’t add up and should be investigated! Miami-Dade (my hometown )is known for corruption ..especially in situations like this!

Only 972 homeless people in Miami-Dade County? That number seems exceptionally low. So the County wants to spend money by building an out of the way oasis instead of plugging people into existing vacant housing. Makes no sense when compounded with the homeless registrants. I call bs. I’d like to add that several sources indicate that there are between 3 and 7 thousand homeless in Miami, not 972.

Book would probably argue that he was referring to the non-registered segment of the homeless population of Miami-Dade. He’s made pretty clear that he rejoices in making registrant lives as difficult as possible.

And yes, he deliberately overlooks that the residence restrictions he was instrumental in implementing is the primary cause for homelessness there.

That’s interesting a barrier island in key Biscayne… the only one i know of is across from Vizcaya, and other than that is Star Island, where the Ritzy Rich live…unless someone has built and island, like in the south china sea and what are they going to do during a tropical storm or Hurricane ?, how would someone get from there to the mainland ? Swim ? Next they will be building small houses in Stiltsville from ages past…..

Yes by extermination. Which he has been trying to do since his daughter was abused. Either by forcing the registrants into tiniest pockets of “livable” space severely diminishing their quality of life, or by banning them from the area. Maybe he will give up his chair of the homeless trust, and take a seat in the chemo chair.

It seems the Homeless Trust should be investigated by the FBI for misappropriation of funds, or some such. Just sayin’.
