I saw something like this in a Micheal Moore film where the prison he visited didn’t even have walls because it was on a island. Some prisoners had jobs so they were ferried to shore every day and returned every evening others learned employable skills all geared to the reality that one day this person would be someone’s neighbor. Here we are so hell bent on retribution even after completion of the sentence because some politicians don’t want to look soft on crime.Prison was the most traumatic experience of my life couple that with the never ending reminders by the government that I once did something wrong I still struggle with depression.
