In reply to Bob Thompson. Yes, the case is still going on and is very active. it is case number 3:16-cv-02862 with the style, Doe v. Haslam and is in the Middle District of Tennessee

With the Michigan and North Carolina cases hiring about the same time, I do wonder what will become of not only the residency restrictions, etc, but also the internet identifier laws in the 6th circuit. That s about all there is left in Kentucky for people convicted before like 2009. Also wonder how these decisions will impact changes in the term of registration. States like Kentucky and New York went from 10 to 20 years minimum a few years back and retroactively applied those requirements. .

I wonder how old that guy’s daughter was at the time because in many cases, someone like him would have already come off the registry no later than 2009 in Tennessee. He must have been classified as a “predator”

A individual was placed on diversion by a Tennessee Circuit Court Judge for one year/and placed on sex offender registry for one year in 2016. After successfully completing all requirements of diversion the sentencing Judge with no objections by the District Attorney ordered the charges expunged July 30, 2017 Notification was forwarded to the appropriate agencies including the TBI. Individual still remains on sex registry. Tennessee Bureau of Investigation refuses to remove from registry. Has the court ruled on the lawsuit?
