You are absolutely right about that barbaric procedure. I was just making an anatomical observation. Ovaries are the equivalent in women to testicles in men in terms of hormone production. Since the penis is an analog to the clitoris, male genital mutilation would involve trimming the penis. The forced castration or any sort of surgical procedures like that protects no one and spiritually harms a society that promotes it. All the best to you and your wife, Maestro.

Removing the ovaries doesn’t stop a female from having sexual desires. It would be the clitoris, like in Islam. Unfortunately, this procedure was done to my current wife. But she also told me that not everyone does it. It also doesn’t fully take away the woman’s sexual desire. It just softens it. The idea behind this, as I was told, is to reduce female infidelity to their husbands.

I assume that Skinner v Oklahoma would come into play here.

Not to put too fine a point on it, but the female equivalent to castration would be removal of the ovaries. A vasectomy is more akin to a tubal ligation in women. These distinctions don’t make the proposed laws any less barbaric. Most males in this country are routinely and without their consent subjected to male genital mutilation shortly after birth. The female equivalent of circumcision is a clitorectomy, i.e. female genital mutilation.

I can only assume that the rationale for castration is to reduce testosterone production and any corresponding sex drives. A vasectomy would not achieve that same result. Perhaps these lawmakers in their twisted thinking believe they can eliminate pregnancies from rape. I’ll say it again, these politicians in Louisiana are nuts (no pun intended).
