As a colleague of mine, who is a US Marshal on the Mainland, told me, that they are forced to do this stuff in order to continue to receive federal dollars that flow through them and to local agencies…..He is personally embarrassed about this…He knows all about my situation and too, is embarrassed….

As he has said many times, ‘it is the system that is at fault, the legislators, that legislate this crap’

There is an interesting situation going on in Kansas City right now. The Mayor Quintin Lucas who is a no nonsense brave politician is taking on the entire police force because of miss management of city funds for useless projects like these. In the tune of 42 million dollars ( one fifth of KCMo. Budget)he intends to remove and take control of through the City Council to use to rehabilitate criminals and interact more with the public problems , rather than using bullets and manufacturing stings that accomplish nothing.
The process is being challenged in the courts . It may be interesting to see how this turns out.
