Cheorkee you are right in your comment. You know why some fall for all this. Its because the flesh is weak. Ethical standards is that law enforcement shouldn’t be doing these sting operations as they are full of holes and traps.

Even in my own situation I got the person on the phone that night and they covered their voice, gave excuses with I said whats wrong with your voice. Only God creates evil. Servants don’t.

The servant is not greater than the master. Theirs your ethics right their. These law enforcers are blind guides in many ways.
Talk about an officer and a gentlemen.????

In reply to Iservedmytyme. Those "wrong number" text messages are all scams. The hook is to draw someone into a conversation, then snare them with love so they will be gullible enough to send money for whatever reason the scammer thinks will work.

Of course, that story doesn’t say how many – if any – of those 34 people are currently on the registry. By which I mean registry only, completed probation and received “completed therapy” and “low risk to re-offend” ratings. I’ll bet the answer is zero.

Its the old bait and switch tactic. Law enforcement know what they are doing – so they say, although they are pressurizing one and stressing the issue for a hook up type con to trap another for their vain glory status. Many can see right thru them.

Although one has to remember we are human. This supreme court issue of no one is above the law has merit and still law enforcement can over ride their abuse and at the same time coin the phrase… its for public safety. Is that why they do these operations on many. How barbaric is that. Talk about a cave man conking a woman over the head or little pretend issue. Emails and things like those can be a dangerous trimming for a trap also.

So I’m going to castrate you for public safety because we can. We can set you up because we can. Bottom line its all fake pretense in much of this mickey mouse registry. And government calls this justice. So who learns the lesson the authorities or the abused victim.

I occasionally get text from numbers I’m not familiar usually out of state area codes with sometimes they just say things like Hi it’s been a long time without giving their name those I ignore and delete and other times they will ask for a person not my name like Hi John in those cases I usually reply No one by that name here you have the wrong number at which point the response is I’m sorry to bother you I’m ( female name) I need someone to talk to or something along those lines. I immediately stop responding and block the number I feel in my bones it’s a set up first the long distance number to make me think this person is clear across the country and feel comfortable holding a conversation with them since my original case was due to a sting operation they think not being in close proximity to the caller I may be more willing like I’ve never heard of spoofing telemarketers do it everyday also by conversating with unknown texter I would be open myself up to being sent cp or a link to cp I’ve gotten 5 or 6 of these type text messages my plea was over 15 years ago and I’ve worked hard to try to advance with the life I was left with I wish cops and politicians would just leave us alone

I would think after all the news stories (Not meaning the author of this article) people would no longer fall for these stings.
Yesterday, 34 more people were arrested in Central Florida concerning fake law enforcement stings.
