I recently installed an app on my cell phone, ROBOKILLER,I have no affiliation to them.

This app answers in s voice of your choice, Trump. HILLARY. many more, and they think they are talking to someone.

This turns the tables and wasted THEIR time

I used to get visited by my Volusia county sheriff monthly. 3 months ago they quit coming and I had one visit me in early december. He said something about due to lack of manpower they Re going to come do a home check every 3 months. He also asked if I mind the change ? What is the point of the home check?

OKAY…. everyone listen up…

Phone scams are EVERYWHERE. Credit Card Debt, Timeshare, IRS, Vacation Packages, etc, etc…

It is one of the EASIEST scams out there. No face to face, hard to track, spoofed number, can be anywhere in the world, and virtually unlimited leads.

We are EASY targets, because the system has made us SCARED for our lives.

Understand this…
– No LE will ever call you about a warrant
– No LE will ever call you for money

It is that simple. Hang up on these scammers. They simply go to the next lead.

Oh, and don’t waste your time trying to “go after” them. You really think LE cares that SO’s are being scammed? They don’t even have the man power to properly supervise SO’s. We all know the registry is 100% ineffective. They come to our homes what, once or twice a year?

And just getting the calls the police won’t do anything. I was told that my local PD couldn’t get involved unless I had actually given the scammer money. Thanks but no thanks.

Just for everyone’s information, NO Law Enforcement Department, or Government entity will ever call you to advise there will be a warrant put out, nor call and demand money. First of all, the IRS will NEVER call you, everything is done Via U.S. Postal Service. AND Law Enforcement will come in person if there’s a Warrant, and most likely not advise you. So if you get any of these calls, try to log them and notify your local Police as soon as you can. If it’s a U.S. Government scammer, then you can file a complaint with the FBI. in fact, I believe if it’s any out of state call, would be considered intra-state and most likely fall with in the jurisdiction of the FBI.

Yep, I got a call here in Pinellas. Guy was a major dumbass. Couldn’t even pronounced Ulmerton Rd plus the SPOT office hasn’t been on Ulmerton for 4 or 5 years. The IRS calls that I have gotten have typically been bad recordings.

Yup, I’ve had a couple of incidents happen to me as well in the 10 years I’ve been on the registry. As long as we are made unfavorably public, this sort of thing will continue unfortunately. Be always astute and aware of your situations.

I had a call last week telling me that I owed a tax bill to the IRS. And that a Federal warrant would be issued for me unless I paid: I just laughed and hung up since I have been disabled since 1983 an m now on SS and therefore have not had any tax bills due since 1984 when I filed my last tax return. There are a lot of such people out there so beware.

Sadly this is only a variant of the IRS scam. But because of the public registry, it is easier for the scammers to get ahold of registrants information. Making the scam seem even more realistic. It is pretty obvious though that the scammers are clueless when it comes to registrants. If they knew anything they would know that the majority of registrants can’t even get a job. So paying any bond would be difficult. All this does is simply showcase how the government has made a public hit list and nothing more. Really sorry to hear someone had a scammer call. Thankfully this person had enough sense to check it out. Always remember our government wants cash, not gift cards.
