I agree. We, as people, are not defined by a label, as much as politicians love to use labels to define groups of people. I have never been affiliated with any party (Dems or Reps.) because they all lie just to get your vote, so the best liar wins the election. All of us who were convicted or plead out to a sexual offense are now and have been, labeled as “sex offenders” by politicians (Dems and Reps), not ex felons or former sex offenders, or even as people. So please stop the political discussions, because they don’t care if you are a Dem. or a Rep. They only see you (us) as “Sex Offenders”.

I disagree it’s a complete blanket statement. Just watching the Midterms Gillum would have redone the whole judicial system and pushed to abolish private prisons and mandatory minimum along with needing less Police and spend that money on other more important things like reform, mental issues among other things, the other guy who’s a poor mans Trump, a Hard Right GOP is for all this and more, not to mention he’s a former Prosecutor who used an example of a immigrant molesting a child and not getting departed as a scare tactic to get more votes, we know what tree he is barking under. I don’t see how are Judicial systems in FL will get better, people will say this is not about politics, and that is partially true…the victims are from every race and dems and reps, but down there in Florida you had a true liberal trying to turn Florida into a Vermont on West Coast state such as Wa (West WA). There’s plenty of men caught in stings with no one involved and it’s a money maker, from my POV one guy could have made a dent in this while the other just follows the status quo. Only in Florida. Everyone has the right to their beliefs as that is not my battle or argument i am making, just that the GOP party in Fl is corrupt beyond belief. No other state runs as many stings as FL not even close, and that will not change anytime soon.

I know the story said “rapists” but I do believe that is not what the amendment says.

i just called and was told they corrected the ‘online’ comment that referred to sex offenders as ‘rapists’

I did explain that using ‘rapist’ in place of sex offender is like replacing ‘murderer’ with ‘charles manson’
