There is another group, maybe you have heard of them… the ACLU. I was involved in the Fl ACLU call where a large telephone conversation took place to discuss how Amendment 4 would help everyone regain voting rights. I asked the speaker, what about the TWO distinct groups being left out. I was told that if Amendment 4 included those included in the excluded groups for murder or sex offence, there was little chance the Amendment would be approved. SO, it was decided that after Amendment 4 was passed, additional efforts would be made to get those two groups included.
What I saw was the Amendment passed and the Gov then made additional attachments to continue to exclude. Those in charge have been and continue to use us at the fuel to remain in office. I am tired of their dirty feet on my back and shoulders.

American citizens who have served their time and had the voting rights suspended should have them returned without issue. Make the effort to inform them their voting right has been restored and help them register to vote again (or for the first time if they did not before). The continued punishment of them by not returning their right is wrong and unconstitutional, IMO. The only exception IMHO is when the crime is a voting crime, e.g., vote more than once, where then the suspension of the voting right is inline with other crimes where their actions resulted in suspension, e.g., a suspended DL for a vehicle crime.

Iv paid over 200k in federal and state taxes in the last three years. I have zero representation and heavy taxation. Somehow folks only care about whats unconstitutional when it doesn’t concern a registrant. Like if you need a gun or a right to abortion. Then they will fight in the streets over it. But our constitutional rights are not nearly as important somehow. As if our rights are from a different constitution. It blows my mind.

I promise to be respectful in this post.
I don’t want to be; but I will be.
I need to express my outrage (mild word). I want to hurl insults in meade’s direction! (But I won’t.)
I want him to understand the depth of anger that I hold for him! (fury!)
He threw us under the bus for his own aggrandizement (to state it mildly)!
Am I the only one who is so outraged?

If we’re disallowed to exorcise our civic duty to vote,, serve on on a jury or fully participate in democracy, then why in the HELL should we even pay taxes?
