This quite disturbing – even though the professor is will to accept that the fault might be the system – I can bet the outcome will be against the registrants and not the state. It is much easier to further harm and vilify the registrants further than to battle the state. In addition, the fact that the professor (who is supposed to be informed in the truth before he writes something like this) has included false information. That is quite disturbing…

How absurd that an artificially created "danger" should be used as an excuse for more punishment. I am sure that if they knew the neighbor next door liked to be spanked while wearing a clown costume or the neighbor on the other side who is an alcoholic or the neighbor behind them that is planning an a murder/suicide or the one 2 doors down who makes meth in his kitchen and that the guy who peed in the park and is listed on the registry for LIFE all of the sudden doesn't seem like such a bad guy after all!

Let them try to claim damages because it is a preceived danger brought on by the registry. Take note people because if this becomes a popular way to do more damage then it just cannot stand. Another fight to possibly look forward to. My husband and I have lived within a stones throw to two potentially beautiful properties for over 35 years. We are now thinking of selling our home in a few years and certainly we could claim damages because of the hideous condition of some neighbors property affecting our property value. That is not perceived, it is real and we have see it every day for 35 years!
