In reply to CherokeeJack. CJ, the 2020 census only shows 906 residents. They outsource their law enforcement and Fire & Rescue services to Palm Beach County, they are so small. Using the FDLE search function, I can only find 2 PFR's within the city limits.

Congratulations on your Home Rule Hero award.
I am contacting you about the city council special meeting scheduled for July 16th, 2024. Every American citizen deserves to be treated with dignity and respect, including citizens who may have convictions for certain crimes. The prestige of receiving the award reflects your diligence in providing a voice for most of the citizens in your community. It seems that any American citizen with a conviction of a sexual nature needs your voice now more than ever. Seeking resolution for local concerns is reasonable, but is the exclusion of certain citizens the solution? Consider using your voice to protect the families and loved ones who might be negatively impacted by expanding the residential limits set by the State of Florida. A vote to keep the State’s limit will give the marginalized population a voice of positivity.

We must show up, stand up and speak up during the Westlake City Council meeting later today. We must let the city know that the ordinance they are considering will not protect their residents or anyone else. Instead, it will cause significant harm to all and cost the residents a lot of money because it is sure to be litigated if it is adopted. ACSOL has supported FAC and will continue to support FAC on this important issue.

There are less than 8000 people there in the last count. Out of those, how many are registered citizens? A small city can be shut down if they slip up on this and get sued to the point the city has to pay up to defend a suit by a high-profile attorney.
Let’s show them how much strength and unity we can muster.
