MJ, you are forgetting that Ron Book is also chair of the Miami-Dade Homeless Trust (http://www.miamidade.gov/homeless/about-the-homeless-trust.asp – look at leadership).

So one of Ron Book’s organizations makes them homeless and then another of Ron Book’s organizations is charged with finding solutions to their homelessness.

It’s like one company hiring someone to throw bricks through a window and then another company paying a kickback for the glass repair job that come from that effort. If not criminal, clearly it’s a conflict of interest. However, in Florida and particularly Miami-Dade, if you have the money and power to get away with it, you do.

I’m speechless. I mean, yeah, just speechless. How in the world do these people evade fraud? I think an audit and internal investigation is in order starting with Lauren’s Kids and seeing how much corruption is linked to however many state politicians. There has to be a whistleblower somewhere. And does anyone else need more proof that the prison system is an industry here in Florida? So Ron Book has the head of a private prison provider as one of his clients? No wonder the state needs to do all of these sex sting operations. It’s a win-win for all involved in Florida politics. The local sheriffs offices get the federal ICAC funds, and GEO gets their prisons filled because of excessive sex crime laws passed via Ron Book’s “lobbying” on behalf of GEO. What an impressive, incredible scheme this state has going for them! And then of course it trickles down, the prison guards and probation officers get job stability, therapists get their weekly guaranteed fees…etc, etc. Does everybody not see what’s really going on here? Does this make anyone mad as hell? It should make every citizen in FL mad! Because this could be you or anyone of your family members having to deal with this . Thank God for Vicki Henry, hopefully she is successful with exposing this and getting the lawsuit to go through.
