Actually, I just read the Cortez suit and it appears that it is from a June 2017 wreck involving Ron Book’s other daughter, Samantha, who was driving Ron’s car.

Seems bad driving runs in the family,though.

This also means that the Books are going to be sued by more than one person. If this keeps up, they’ll be broke before I get my chance to do the same.

In reply to Jacob. He deserves the same treatment as any other offender. Just because he has money should not let him have a free ride. I have a friend that was caught driving to the store 1/4 mile from his house for a neighbor. his license was permanently revoked in 2003 and it is not his first offense, but the man is 76 years old and was offered a 270 day sentence by the states attorney. He has serious medical issues and yes he should not have been on the road. but I don't understand why he wasn't given a choice of house arrest with an ankle bracelet and community service along with probation. He is a veteran and has to go to Gainesville for his treatments. I take him there and drive him wherever he goes with a truck which is mine that I leave in his yard since I have no place to keep it at my house. I feel responsible since I had left the keys there in case he needed to move it in the yard. Sine this has happened I have taken the keys and he will not have any vehicle to drive anymore. I am only hoping that when we go in front of the Judge that some of these things will be considered and he can get an alternate sentence. Does anyone else have similar situations past or present?

In the last few days, several members in other discussions have posted comments to the effect that Ron Book “got off.”

Any truth to this? Did I miss something?
