Does the current Florida law indicate that sexual offenders who are no longer serving any sanctions for their offense (meaning off probation) are free to live where they please if a county or city ordinance doesn’t stipulate otherwise?
I have found several news reports and attorney blogs that make this distinction. This is important to me, because I’ve been off probation for nearly a decade and would like to find a new living arrangement. (I’ve been living on the edge of the everglades in Miami Dade County because of its very-restrictive residency law for all registered offenders.)

Yes, but Miami-Dade does have a 2500 foot from school ordinance. You will still (and forever) need to abide by the County and City ordinances.
