This is so absurd.. My boyfriend got busted years ago for shared files left unopened on his hard drive. Now my ex who legitimately broke my hand, busted my lips, smacked , choked and degrated me for 10 years is refusing to let me have my kids because someone sent him my beau’s Google that states the entirety of every statute related and nothing to do with the part he actually got into trouble over. He won’t hear me explain anything and now I doubt I’ll even see my kids for Christmas. I got arrested a few years ago for assaulting my abuser after he shoved me out the door and locked me away from my kids scratching his arm on a jagged door jam.. I had fingernails, so I went to jail. I can’t even get a job because my mug shot is the first thing to pop up with my Google search. Our justice system is so far fucked.

I think the odds are better than average that the software in question actually plants the CP on the targeted computer in one of those caches that can’t be viewed or deleted. It’s the very definition of entrapment.

Bringing this up in my group next week. Suggesting all who got popped for CP in one of these stings really fight to get their case reheard.

Well, this is NOT surprising at all considering that the FBI ran website sharing thousands of child porn images. It would appear that the United States Government's "Law Enforcement" is in fact actually assisting in the distribution of child pornography on the internet.

If I were that person who was arrested with the case being dropped, i’d be looking into suing for damages and using discovery to learn about the method(s) used to surveil.

The software was developed by a university, which means it was funded by government grants, which makes it public information unless that information has been classified by the government.
