Since all sex offender “laws” are based on and motivated by HATE is really is NICE to see it put in print for once!

The motives of politicians and law enforcement are clear – create a group to project disgust and hate onto. We are the chosen people.

Hey family in the unwanted fellowship,
my conviction was in 1990.
Today, though far removed from that date, it only takes reading this forum to bring all that fear, pain and anxiety back to the forfront.
I would caution that we not use this chat vehicle to slip into morbid reflection, or complain about the Iron Machine that has no feelings, that is probably reading these posts making us more vulnerable.
Instead let us become the best versions of ourselves that we can be and pray and use this form to brainstorm on how to dismantle this unfair registry that we are all on..
Because after only 30 minutes on the site I’m full of fear and anxiety and stress and discouragement. and that’s not going to help anyone that’s not going to help us…

In reply to Tracy. Tracy, my crime happened in 95, did my time and 2 1/2 yrs CRD, i'm 76 and I still live in fear of all the new laws and ordinances they can think of. We have become the modern day lepers with a scarlet letter. I believe the consistent harassment of registered is punishment and constitutes an issue of over sentencing. That's why it's important to have the advocates we have in FAC and NARSOL to fight the good fight we aren't able to do. They tell us we're free but i say, "free with shackles"

Is it just me that believed once your sentence is over it should be over. A bad choice I made over 20 years ago, but I don’t understand how they can continue to do this to us and put our lives and are family in harm’s way. This has to STOP! Where does it end?

For those who know me know my stance on this, as here it is happening again. My belief is if it can be proven someone causes bodily harm or death to a registered citizen as a result of info supplied by the state the state is aiding and abetting in this crime and should be held accountable. If you had intentions of robbing a bank and ask me for a ride to withdraw some money and i didn’t know your intention, you come out of the bank and we drive off and get busted, who gets arrested and who goes to jail? We both do! If i didnt supply the ride you couldn’t have robbed the bank so i’m culpable by law.
If this guy did not get info from reg. how could he find this man and kill him? They supplied him the means and he carried out, with their assistance, the murder of this poor man. Cut and dry, the state aided and abetted in murder. What we need is someone to challenge the state with this. I’m told i’m crazy, I would be laughed out of court but it seems so obvious to me that the state is handing out contracts on reg. citizens to any taker. Are they above the law?

I am a rso not proud for my mistakes in my past. and yes I do worry
for my family and my safety. because anyone can get access to my
family or me to retaliate for my past. I think of this all the time so I
keep myself away from my adult children and my grandchildren so
that society in a hole will not threaten or condemn my family with
harm or embarrassment. my wife of 37 years has stood by my side
and forgiven me and to that point I will never let her down. this
registry is just another way for state to control the American people.
with fear and propaganda. just like Ronald Reagan said tear down that wall. thank you all who fight for my rights as an american

Attention F.A.C this would be great chance for some one to file some type of legal $$$$$lawsuit$$$$$$$ against the state for making someone a target for being murdered for being on a public registry run by the state?

It’s just a guess, but I think the “hate crime” angle will be because of his age, not his status as a registrant.

Also, it’s nice to see that the sheriff’s office pulled his listing on the registry website. The Louisiana registry is riddled with the deceased.
