I was told by a correction officer on my way out of prison after doing 10 years for being in my living room in South Daytona, Florida and was on Yahoo chat in a romance room where you had to be age-appropriate and as I was going from chat room to chat room I was in the romance room where you had to be 18 or older and clicked the box that was their terms and conditions but their terms and conditions was broken by two detectives in Martin County Stuart, Florida. They tried contacting me a couple different times on line in the chat room and then finally we connected and I started role-playing they lived or they were 3 1/2 hours away from where I lived came to my house while I wasn’t home broken into my house told me that somebody must’ve left the door open. They went through all my stuff with out a search warrant the detector said he read it to the air so I started fighting it in court and wound up doing 10 years three different tribes after violating probation technicalities they went through all my stuff, took all my computer equipment. before computers started coming out with cameras I went and bought a WebCam and hooked it up to my computer and when I started role-playing, they didn’t have a camera on their end. It was just me to that had a camera, they recorded me came to my house. I wasn’t home they broke into it. It was a mobile home and went through all my stuff took all the computer stuff, told me that somebody broke in, and I went back over there and they said listen this is why we’re here, was this you on the chat room? Is this your screen name? Does anybody else live or use this computer in your house and finally I didn’t show my face on on the camera. I finally said yes it was me so they said they were 14 years old, but they’re not they were too grown detectives, Patrick Calosano and Brian Broughton of the Martin County Sheriffs Office I was told on the way out by correctional officer to contact an attorney because this is very unconstitutional. I don’t guess the terms and conditions on the yahoo.com means anything because they broke it if they were 14 years old in an adult chat room called romance then Yahoo broke their terms and conditions and they had to check the box also saying they were 18 or older. Thank you.

In reply to Pariah.001. Maby start using Blind carbon copy when your volunteers send email blasts out. I sent my email in to Sarah and an hour later I’m copied in an email with several other people who emails I can also see. It’s impossible to keep your information private I get it. But I do not like having mine share with other people I do not know and would not normally have exchanged it with. And it’s about something completely different. I appreciate all you do. But that’s a very minimal ask for helping keep some level of privacy.

I cannot even image kids being on the registry. That is going to haunt them for the rest of their lives and make many of them give up hope for a future. Sucks already for adults, but most of us are strong enough to get through it, but a vulnerable kid being placed on a registry could cause mental, emotional and even physical issues.
There are already kids that were bullied that have committed suicide, add the registry to a kid and who knows what their life is going to evolve into.

This is a baby step but a step i think should have been taken a long time ago if not by FAC who are constantly working to help us, then someone like the ACLU and so on. Why are we just restricting it to age by the way? what about the guy/girl that was urinating and was charged with exposing him/herself close to a school or a place where children congregate? doe that person deserve to be on the registry for life? there should be a 3 tier system with the worst on there for life(predators) tier 1 you can get off it in 10 years tier 2 / 20 years and tier 3 is lifetime. The states attorney wont care they get their conviction that’s all they care about and with the correct recidivism rate presented to the proper authorities i don’t see how they could deny a tier system. If Byron Donald wins the governorship i think he is a man of common sense and is not gun ho about stringing sex offenders up like DeSantis was. if we have to take this to the Florida supreme court i think its worth it. Same as murder. there is 1st degree/manslaughter/2nd degree etc… almost every crime has a tier system. resent politicians with some crazy cases that happened in Florida that resulted in someone ending up on the registry and let them decide if that person/persons should be on for life.
