In Illinois on Supervised release one can have it, but it is severely truncated. If one is an author as I am and wants to publicize his work he cannot use any form of social media, and even if he can afford a state of the art computer, online he is a horseless carriage on an internet built for a Lamborghini. PCM (Pay Computer Network) for example, reaps a small fortune from the fees charged to monitor the computers of registered SO’s on Supervised Release (Most of us now for LIFE) THeir software hogs so much of any computers resources and slows it down so much as to make any online work EXTREMELY tedious and time-consuming. Oh, and if you HAVE a laptop or a desktop, you can have no other internet connected device and that means no SMARTPHONES or any other internet connected device.

Now if only murderers, armed car jackers, home invaders, drug dealers, etc. received the same attention as sex offenders. But that won’t happen because too many policing assets are being used up to keep track of those who are least likely to re-offend. Go figure!
