In reply to Jim Simmons. Has anyone actually asked the nephew whether he feels that state-induced homelessness and medical torture is a commensurate penalty for a crime that occurred in the 1980s? Are you assuming that all victims of sex-crimes are both traumatized and vengeful? Are you assuming that you speak for all of them? You would be wrong on both counts.

In reply to G.W.. What about the compassion Steven Folster showed his helpless nephew as he was sexually abusing him?? The further he is from society, the better. I wouldn't want him anywhere near my grandson's daycare, house, or ANY place that he might be. Keep him confined to the woods. His nephew may very well still be having problems from his uncle's assaults? Who feels sorry for the real victims??

Let’s identify the problem. Anyone who issued a complaint against Mr. Folster only for a violation of the distance restriction is either a victim of propaganda deception and/or unreasonable fear and/or is someone who seeks revenge for an experience of sexual assault. Propaganda deception involves the exploitation of unreasonable fear by politicians who promise stricter sex offender laws to protect children in order to get votes. Unreasonable fear is generally a result of lack of familiarity or education. Possibly the best way to assist Mr. Folster is by members of FAC volunteering to canvass his neighborhood door to door with information (flyers, printouts) to help educate those who may have issued a complaint, starting with the day care center in question. If the complaint is withdrawn it may allow the police to “let it go” as they said.
