In reply to Mary Ann Salyer. Disney as well as all the other Parks run your ID if your over 18 !! The closest you can get to Disney is, Disney Springs (Old Disney Market Place) in Lake Buena Vista. We go there often with the Grandkids. No Rides but lots of Restaurants, Lights, And cool things during the season !. And it's Free, As well as free parking !!. The Rainforest Cafe is there as well as the T-REX Restaurant. The grandkids really love them both !!. And the prices are fair !!. Been going there over 15 years and never had a problem at all (yet).... No ID checks !! Enjoy !!

In reply to Barry E Dearborn. How do they know if you’re a sex offender? Do they run background checks on everyone that comes through the gates? That would take all day and then some. I agree, class action suit, except going to Disney is a privilege not a right.

My Fiance is 30 it years old. When he was 21 he victimized a 14 year old girl. He was charged with Statutory rape. He was sentenced to 7 years in MO Doc. He took probation first and had 2 kids after her was realeased from 120 shock. When almost off paper he violated because the state took his children solely for the fact he was registered. He served 3 years in prison and completed a year sex offender treatment. When realesed he moved here to Florida. I met him shortly there after and Nine months later his first daughter was born. The State of Florida forced me to move out. He wasn’t allowed to see his daughter born, and she is almost a month old. They want 1000 dollars just to assess him even though he has already completed an assesment and also participated in 4 years worth of treatmrnt. He is devastated. Doesn’t leave his room and is beginning to give up hope. The registry was suppose to warn of what they have done. Not continue to punish. The mass extortion being committed by Parole and Police enforcement is overlooked because their voices do not matter. These people that swore to protect us are taking advantage of another’s mistakes. This is extortion, not to mention completely violating their rights as human beings. I wonder if Florida could afford to pay the pain and restitution they by right of law should be ordered to pay these individuals. And Florida continues to create new stipulations to place upon these people. We were starting a family. No plea agreement or law states they cant have kids. So my question now. Is wich organization is going to pay child support since they ordered him to not be involved. Because it’s not the father who wants to love his daughter and raise her that should pay for something he will be arrested fors responsibility at that point.. It should be that power hungry bastard calling the shots. The sex offender laws built on human emotion is a mockery to the U S. It doesn’t say freedom. It says freedom to do what the fuck we want you to do Your parents and our four fathers weep in their grave. And it’s on you Florida.

i think we all need to a class action lawsuit against disney. i phoned and emailed disney, they told me that i would not be allowed into the park if i am a sex offender. how do you tell your kids that they can go but daddy cant? class action time.

In reply to sticker on DL. Does seem like the ACLU sticks with class action suits, like the big Doe v Snyder up here in Michigan that they won last year. I believe there were 5 offenders involved in that lawsuit. The advice on their website for others facing the same issue now in Michigan is that you are on your own, and you need to retain your own attorney. At least they have done some things to help, where others would ignore us.

In reply to Mary. The ACLU will not help you in all instances, I wrote to them and told them about my case of being arrested for an American Legion sticker on my driver's license, they declined to take the case, it's 7 months now since my arrest and it is still being tried as a felony

In reply to Anonymous. I haven't been to Disney since the early-mid 2000s. I can understand in cashing at places and not order online, as I have done in various places like movie theaters and such. But if you cash in at the gate of Disney, doesn't Disney ask for ID verification anyway ?
