So denial of shelter is part of the punishment for a crime? You seem more honest than the sheriff, who won’t make that admission for fear of making this suit against him easier.

Are you saying states and sheriffs shouldn’t be sued, should be entitled to do what they want, or are you more of a small government type (like me)?

Taxes for the support of schools is of benefit to all of society, including RSO’s. We all need an educated populous. Paying for a ‘benefit’ that is of no value to certain people is not the same. What if I went into a grocery store and had to pay for a steak for the guy behind me in line? He gets the benefit and I get the bill. The whole question on this subject would be answered if authorities would quit using myth/paranoia/hype/false information that impacts certain citizens unjustly just so politicians can make ‘face saving’ laws and ordinances.

Misunderstood my intent or i stated i correctly: its aboutt the civil commitment and expectation of service to a taxpayer regardless of status. A citizen is a citizen. Picking and chosing who is protected opens an ugly can of worms. Where will it stop? How far can a group be alienated?

There is no exemption. Others have argued; if they can’t go to parks or public libraries, why pay that portion of the taxes that are allocated to them? Three realities; (1) the argument is not going to fly, (2) for the same token, people who chose not to have children could opt-out of taxes going to public schools, and (3) we have much more important challenges on our plate.
