A message to our members

Many members already face these questions. Others worry as they age: Where will we live? Who will care for us? Will our loved ones have to carry that weight? If no one can help, where do we go?

Needing care does not make anyone less worthy. Yet members describe being passed between agencies without answers. To families, it can feel like Florida is passing the buck. Registry totals alone cannot show who needs nursing care, a safe home or help caring for someone they love.

Our video brings voices from Oklahoma’s hearing into this conversation. After our outreach, Dr. Stephanie C. Jerstad of Millersville University welcomed a deeper discussion with FAC Media. Her research includes aging registrants and long-term care.

Please comment, LIKE, SUBSCRIBE and SHARE. Help these voices reach more families, caregivers and people who can make a difference.

A little Halloween humor

A dusty car. An unused app. A terrifying amount of paperwork.

Halloween Treats for All brings Quiet too long’s story and narration to life as a comic adapted by FAC Media. This fictional satire gives us room to laugh while asking serious questions.

A wider look at hope and help

These 2026 stories and events remind us that people are still listening, helping and making room for change.

A survivor supports change

Survivor, actor and writer Mark O’Sullivan supports accountability and helping people build safer lives. He shared that message with Circles UK in January and at an October Circles Europe event.

Small steps matter

A May BBC report shared how volunteers support people after sexual-offense convictions. One man on the registry said the support helped him set safer boundaries and become debt-free. The report also raised funding concerns.

In Case You Missed It

A few FAC posts from October 17:

Thank you for reading, sharing and helping someone feel less alone. Florida Action Committee works toward abolishing the registry and preventing sexual harm through effective approaches to public safety. Families deserve room to live, grow and hope.
