Fear-driven movements have always resulted in injustice. Racism, antisemitism and, shall we call it anti-sinnerism? Because one group can collectively look down on another group, they can all congratulate themselves as being "better" and on the "winning" side. Sadly, they will individually find that they have come and will go in the same manner as the "losers". Hold your head up people and persevere, press on, never give up! You show by your actions that you are worthy of respect by the honorable way you conduct your life. Do good, treat others as you want to be treated, tell the truth always. You will be rewarded in this life and in eternity.

NOW is the time to recognize and use the political times in which we find ourselves. With nearly 1 million of us on the registries all across the nation — and the plethora of Democratic candidates all hopeful for the presidential nomination for 2020, we ought to be able to make a case to kill all these crazy laws beginning with the child protection acts of the 90s and all those deplorable amendments to those acts, pumping up the punishments at the rate of 11 months per annum, to the consternation of responsible members of the sentencing guidelines commission. Most of those insidious amendments were hidden and vital other bills that did need to pass — or so fear driven legislators anxious to hang onto their power would have us believe.
"Adam's law", "Megan's law" and a host of others were formulated after one – off types of instances and rarely repeated. This is a refrain I hear constantly in the phone calls, emails, and printed materials I see. One hears these sorts of things from famous criminologists, lawyers who deal with this question all the time, and other experts in the field of sex offender management.
Eric Hoffer, the famous longshoreman psychologist often sought out by kings and presidents for advice much earlier in the last century had this observation; "any great cause first becomes a movement, then a business, then ultimately devolves into a racket."
This describes succinctly what is happened to the sex offender "treatment" cottage industry. Mostly it is run by failed PhD candidates for clinical psychology/forensic psychology/or any specialty at all. It provides these people a captive clientele who must count out and genuflect to them as little tin gods because they do have the power of life and death over their charges. A word to the parole officers involved in members of this captive clientele who refuse to put up with this Manchurian candidate type of treatment can have their parole revoked and sent back to prison. It does in most cases incentivizes corruption because it's an all cash business and these "treatment" groups of 12 to 20 people at a time – usually for an hour and 1/2 at a time – are run night and day. This is such a popular business model that I can see poorly paid parole officers getting a lot of kickbacks to offer their charges up to these faux psychologists and keep milking them over long periods of time.

It's been since 2006 or longer!!. Family's and friends that registrants once had are mostly gone but not forgotten. It is sad because family and friends want to help the registrants integrate back into society, true friends do that because they don't want to lose there friends or family! They are there to talk if the registrants has a urge to do something stupid, and also all the Jail time, probation, money spent, all has an effect on the person especially now that they know if they reoffend it going to be a lot worse. All of this is the reason the registry is a wast of time and money that can be spent on prevention like teaching the public and potential offenders what happens to them and especially there victims; on all types of crime. They should already know "Impathy" and how to apply it!. They should think about what if someone broke into there house and stole very meaning belongings, or if someone sexually assaulted there wife or even there child. The problem is they don't think about "Impathy" when they do these things, some don't even know what empathy means, that is why it needs to be taught to the public through tv commercials special programming, and at schools at an early age and keep getting reminded all through lives. There will still be some that still don't care about others, and a lot of that comes from broken homes something like the legislature has made from starting a registry that does nothing but cause sadness, depression, and difficulty. "IMPATHY" doesn't seem to matter to some people. Just there own lives!!.

I would like to add the fact that there are many registrants that had a sex offence a very long time ago. Some got married, had kids, a good job. They were happy, law abiding citizens for a long time... Now guess where they are!!. Homeless, no job, maybe no wife!. The kids KEEP asking mommy is daddy ever coming home?. He is supposed to help me learn how to play sports mommy I miss daddy playing video games with me. It makes me sad and I start crying a lot. Mommy don't know son, I am sorry I just don't know. I miss him too and i cry to son. All we can do is pray son. Daddy will try to call if he can find a cell phone, because daddy's phone don't work no more. He don't have any money cause he lost his job, and we also might have to move course mommy can't pay all the bills without daddy here. I'm sorry son but maybe some will change soon. There are some nice people out there that have loving hearts that are trying to make some changes so daddy can come home, we'll just have to wait and see. I love you son, and your daddy loves you too!! : That is only one example!!. There are many, many, more, and some that didn't have a chance to go home to there wife and kids, or get married and have kids, and a house, job, ect!. Homeless citizens need to have a life like everyone else that has made mistakes like all criminals, most learn not to reoffend because they love life. It's the new one's that need attention before they get in trouble in the first place. Focus on that!!
