John Walsh is a vigilante, He has destroyed families and communities with his Act.
The United States and our democracy was high jacked with the sex offender registry and the legislation and the hysteria that goes along with it.
Remember the McMartin daycare hysteria. Now we have ICAC (Internet Crimes Against Children) corrupt sex stings.
These sting operations are money making and career builders for police agencies.

Lifetime registry
Lifetime community custody
The laws and rules broken do not apply to the police who run the stings.
They say they are above the law….bullet proof.
The courts uphold this lawlessness.

Courage is the last thing the Walsh’s have and they are cowards. They used and profited off their sons death because of the negligence his mother the day he went missing. Used his death as vengeance on a group of people who had nothing to do with what happened to Adam. Not my fault he had shady parents who used his legacy to cause harm than good. That is nothing to self serving hate and pure vengeance and nothing is courageous about it.

After reading all that, it comes across as creepy, cringey and mawkish. It glamorizes, glorifies or romanticizes the notion that Adam’s “legacy” is magically saving children in his memory with this ill-conceived and feckless train wreck law that was pasted on a voice vote under suspension of rules.

Just to give you a little context on what kind of individual John Walsh is, shortly after Adam’s disappearance and subsequent abduction, Mr. Walsh was even brazen enough to SUE Sears, Roebuck and Co. for wait for it….. “lack of adequate security.”
The “lawsuit” was either dismissed or fell through with void of merit.

Now, who in the hell would pull such an outrageous stunt?. It showed even back then a pattern of lashing out, spite and scapegoating others. Narcissistic red flags for sure.

Here is some current hypocrisy from Joe:

That excerpt from his win-acceptance is a slap in the face and a gut punch to those forced to register.

I couldn’t have said it better!!! I’m tired of the fight, I’m tired of trying to believe in an group of people who I doubt could ever have the strength let alone the understanding of fighting in the boots I’ve had to wear, or the battlefield I have to combat on. All of this just to realize that if all of these hero’s like Biden and harris would heard my cry’s as a child maybe this wouldn’t have gone this far!!! My heart has become so full of stress hatered and anger!!! I want so bad to feel calm again!!! I want to trust and love but I fear that maybe a desire of a faded dismal past!!!

In reply to Chuck. I hope you're right about Biden having changed. Publicly admitting his mistakes and the destructiveness of SORNA would go a long way, especially seeing how the political flak associated with going against it. I want to be hopeful but have been let down too many times.

Rumors floating around from non-felons etc is that he messed with the wrong cartel which resulted in Adams demise. The Colombian cartel are Notorious for beheading people who cross them. Nice post. I believe Biden’s thoughts on crime in general are evolving. I doubt he will address the registry because it is too politically risky. The best we can hope for is that he do nothing in relation to the registry.
I was incredibly hopeful when Obama was elected because he has broad knowledge on constitutional law and I felt he would see the patent unconstitutionality of the registry. He passed the international Megan’s Law. Boy was I wrong.
It’s not republican or democrat. Both parties have jumped onto the sex offender scapegoat bandwagon. Trump did us a favor by simply not passing any significant sex offender legislation.
I am in my 60’s and am long past trying to predict what politicians will do. Harris has been a vigorous advocate of the registry and I don’t see where she has modified her position. She may not be president, but she can shape the president’s views. I’m a lifelong democrat and have given up hope in any member of the democratic party seeing the unjustness of the registry. I will be content if Biden does nothing with the registry. We are finally making progress in the courts and I believe the courts will eventually rule that the entire registry is unconstitutional. Persons on the registry will have to continue to suffer until that day comes.

In the recent weeks I have heard Joe Biden say that he now knows that many of the tough on crime law’s he pushed in the past were a big mistake and that he wants to fix those mistakes.

I believe that Joe Biden has changed, just as I believe that almost everyone on the registry has changed and will never repeat the mistake that got them on the list.

I even give Kamala Harris the benefit of my belief that anyone can change and I have heard her say that her viewpoint has changed as she has learned more over the years.

I have written to Joe Biden several times. I do not know if he has ever seen any of what I have sent, but I have heard him say some comments that lead me to believe that he got the gist of the message that I have always included in all of the messages I have sent to him.

In one comment he made on national TV, he mentioned that over 95% of sexual offences are committed by first time offenders and that is why our current laws are not effective. I was happily shocked to hear that he was aware of that information.

Don’t crucify Biden and Harris before they even take office in Jan 2021. And they will take office.

I think that we all need to continually write to the new president and vice president as well as our members of congress and always include the documented facts that give them reason to want to make changes.

They have to believe that over 95% of these crimes are first time offenders and that the recidivism rates are in the single digits, and as low as below 1% in some states.

They need to believe the truth that their children are more than 20 times more likely to be offended by someone not on the list than to ever be touched by someone on the list.

When they start believing this they will be more open to change. They need to hear it many times and they need to see the reference materials that back up those claims.

I feel that my letters to congress and the president never get seen, but I keep sending them. Since I heard Biden make that one statement, I think maybe he did read at least one of my letters, and apparently believed it.
