First, there was a story in the news regarding an inmate in California, serving 55-life, that was beaten to death by another inmate. It’s disgusting. It amazes me that people believe they are without sin, or their sin is less than ours. I could go on for hours but.....

Second, I’ve heard mention that Kavanaugh is a HUGE historian and the Constitution is his Holy Grail. His mother taught high school History before becoming a judge herself. And she instilled in him constitutional rights.

Third, I was threatened repeatedly by the same guard in Pasco County jail when I was arrested a few years ago. Horrible person apparently that never did anything wrong. However, I can say there were several who stood up for me when other inmates learned of my charges. It’s unfair. So so many of us made a one time mistake, likely based on temporary or long term situations that we endured ourselves, and we learned from these things. We learned we aren’t above the law. We learned that consensual doesn’t mean legal. We learned there are serious consequences for often a single event and that we will not be allowed to forget. I can’t speak for everyone here but just the time secluded with threats, without my family, going through the legal system with the Holy Spirit in the lead, and the sex offender therapy, those things were enough for me to: #1-know what I did was terribly wrong, because I was the adult, #2-i will never find myself stepping down that road again, and #3-i have been given tools to combat any chance that a ‘temptation’ arises again, which I firmly believe it will not. I was given a second chance with my family, friends, God. I refuse to let them down.

Bottom line is we have constitutional rights, spiritual rights, human rights. It’s very difficult to fly under the radar. To live in the face of adversity and hate. To even walk around while you think others are staring and judging, when likely they are not. We need to fight. Do what it takes and what we can. It seems that our hands are tied because no one cares about ‘our kind’ or our rights. And how difficult it is to fight for our human rights, as sex offenders. We need to help educate. Fight against media sensationalism. We are human. We are Americans. We made mistakes, TOO. We have rights just like everyone else. Florida is so poor yet we spend so much on monitoring those that offended 30 years ago, or even 5 years ago, served their penance. Did every little thing asked. And now are labeled and monitored. Money that could be spent putting armed guards in every school in Florida.

Have a blessed day. Rise above. Be strong. God believes in all of us. We must believe in ourselves, too. Much love.
