Laws are changed in two ways: Legislatively by creating new laws or removing old ones or Judicially by a judge declaring a law unconstitutional. In order to do this legislatively a congressman must take up the issue personally, draft the law and bring it to the Floor. Currently, for a congressman to do this means political suicide and his career would be over at the next election. It is for this reason why this has not been an effective path for us. Politicians agree with all that we say to them behind closed doors, but in public are silent. Our ONLY solution is through the Courts. The Florida Action Committee is pouring all resources into these efforts. The only thing that stands in our way on a daily basis is money. We work as fast as the money allows.

Part of the problem is when it comes to sex people get in a tizzy; but have no problem with watching Prime time soft core porn; advertising that are sexual; music lyrics that are sexualized and other examples in our culture. Sex is the only thing human beings have in common; yet in this country when one commits a sex Crime there’s no empathy and humanity. I don’t know if it’s a religion issue or lack of one; but something is seriously wrong. Laws today would make all human beings predators since the beginning of time.

The struggle, unfortunately, is hindered by the individuals who ARE predators and by the headlines they generate. The 3-5% who recidivate sometimes seem to easily cancel the 95-97% who do not.
