The only reason that bill did not pass is due to the collateral damage and possible lawsuits that would be brought by non offenders who drive the same vehicle. If a non offender was targeted and hurt or killed
by the public it would have been a disaster for the legislators. If that had not been brought to the attention of the legislators the bill would have passed

In reply to jed. Despite how I feel about a lot of politicians there were more detractors on this initial bill's go around than I expected. The more we speak up the more cover it gives to those who would be the voices of reason. It absolutely does not hurt to make your voice known, it absolutely guarantees defeat if we don't unify and speak up.

Jed, if you spend a little more time reaching out to the offices of your elected representatives, as part of this Call to Action, then you may find that what you are saying is far from the truth. Many of them do not “delight” in the things you say they do. If you were correct, then you or your loved ones would be driving around with special fluorescent green license plates by now. Do you know why you aren’t?

Sadly, if any of those legislators you wish us to write to woke up this morning and thought anything about the homeless sex offenders freezing in the woods, gutters, and under bridges, they delighted in their misery and hopelessness, smiling as they awoke in their macmansions.

It has been shown over and over that the more misery they can inflict on the sex offender, the more delighted they are…

In reply to FAC-3. That was my question before. In some unfortunate event, if a registrant goes to jail, his address will be changed to the address of the facility. Once he's released he'll have to re-register his home address but by then he technically "moved."
