Every year it’s just more rtroactive laws added to the books to comply to. With the legislature never having one no vote. Is helpful to have a place to read bout my plight. It’s a place where one can vent frustrations and exchange ideas. A place that keeps Marginalized citizens up to date on the goings on in the Courts and legislative branches of government. A place to refine potential arguments of litigation.

Correct – they want the innate protective instinct that all humans have for infants/children to be felt. This is blatant manipulation but it is simply BUSINESS AS USUAL for government as they know this perfectly.

Frank I agree with you. Unlike the civil right’s movement and the gay right’s movements the “sex offender” movement is different in many ways.

We do not have public support as we have been stereotyped and demonized as a faceless monster and not seen as individuals, each with a unique set of circumstances. We are all seen as baby molesters!

Government and law enforcement have done this by design for a number of reasons. I detail those many reason at my site SexOffenderTruth.com however, the main point is that at as long as those in power who make the laws with no regard for the constitution we will not win.

How can you win when those in power and make the laws do so by ignoring facts and deliberately lie?

Take them to court right…unfortunately there to facts are meaningless as the courts including the Supreme court of the USA have accepted the idea that facts DO NOT MATTER when it comes to sex offenders!

Starting to see the problems here? No public support…no real facts allowed…no justice in the courtroom which is ONE place that we had any chance at all.

Of these personal activities and decisions the court has identified:
1) the Right to Privacy,
2) the Right of changing situation or of removing one’s person to whatsoever one’s own inclination may direct,
3) the Right to travel as defined as the power of locomotion. Yet those who challenge these Residency Restrictions cling to a very vague concept of the Right to live where you want which in and by its self does not rise to a Fundamental Right. The Right of changing situation or of removing one’s person to whatsoever one’s own inclination may direct does so.

Fundamental liberty interests require any State infringement of these rights to be “narrowly tailored to serve a compelling state interest”, State actions that implicate anything less than a fundamental Right require only that the government demonstrate ” a Reasonable relation to a legitimate state interest” to justify the action.

Examples of this is our second amendment Right to bear arms, yet we are prohibited to carry in all Federal and State buildings and airports. There are also numerous cases in which the Right of changing situation, ( employment, residencies, educational choices) or of removing one’s person to whatsoever one’s own inclination may direct, have been narrowly tailored to serve a compelling state or municipality interest.

Municipal ordinances imposing or limiting the number of persons who may reside within a certain dwellings has been found to serve a compelling interest or as in Prostrolo the “Condition of enrollment” requiring freshman students to live on campus or as in Fireman where the Courts held that Municipalities had a compelling interest to require as a “Condition of employment”, municipal employees reside within the boundaries of the municipality. \

In all these cases plaintiffs where at liberty to seek employment, educational and housing opportunities else where which did not impose such conditions and the courts have noted:

“These are not, it must be noted, a case in which the right to live in a given geographic area is effected or in which the freedom to travel and relocate is abridged”

Any residency restriction, regardless if its imposed at the County, State or Federal level curtails my fundamental rights and privileges enjoyed by every American at liberty to travel, to relocate, and to reside in any geographical area in which I may be be so inclined to live. Unless of cause these rights and privileges are lost for PUNISHMENT for a crime.

I get it it is frustrating but punching down doesn’t do sh*t, so next time someone feels the urge to ask “what good is this site” start by asking yourself wtf have you done for the cause or better yet have you even offered to volunteer for fac, because I know they are always asking for volunteers.

your site is extremely useful. I think that people are starting to realize what a mess the laws have made for not only themselves(politicians) but for the registered citizens. We have gone through so much in history the Holocaust and the unfair barbitic rules that were put in effect during nazi germany, the civil rights movement and equality for all people. Now we are the target for discrimination and hate the actions of one person affects us all. The laws change and become harsch because of that one horrendous act that a registered citizen committed. I agree that there are many people who just can’t be in society and follow the laws . Their mind thinking is out of wack and many children are paying the price. Along with those children those that do follow the laws and have not reoffended in over 10 years are also being punished. So what is the ANSWER? People are just afraid to speak out against these unjust laws. During the civil rights movement they were willing to give up their life for equality and change. Gandhi freed an entire nation with peaceful demonstrations and took all the British had to offer in punishment with no retaliation. I am proud and saddened that the homeless that resided in the encampment in Hialeah left without a struggle or an arrest complete cooperation. We as a group of people who are being targeted , abused and have our civil rights stripped from us are not coming together to make our voices heard. Those few that are is just not enough. When have we ever marched or defied laws that were unjust? I have fought so much and have sued so many that their is a target on my head yet I stay here because I have no where else to go. At Least two particular detectives have left me alone for over a year now. Why I don’t exactly know but I believe that they know what they did to me has worked on their conscience and having the proof hidden in 3 areas helps. I think we just came to an understanding. At least I am hoping that is why. But I am law abiding and have helped literally 100’s to also be law abiding. I have also informed the authorities when some were not and they are back in prison. Maybe it’s just that I have made so many friends among powerful people in my county that just forget that I am a registered citizen on a ridiculous charge that angered the judge that it even went that far in court. As I help people with pro se motions to the lower court and the appellate court they are realizing that the District Attorney and his assistants “Have crossed the line” as quoted by the fourth district of appeals. My district has the most overturned cases through out Florida. That says something; especially to those judges at sentencing.
