The last Senate floor action for SB 1252 amendment 857106 (green license plate) is that the amendment was withdrawn on 4/30/2023. I’m not an expert on this. Does “withdrawn” mean that it’s no longer going to be added to the bill?

In reply to Sailtime. I suggest that WE ALL go to every representative and senator! This legislation is a target to any sex offender who is trying to make a life in today’s world. Our voices need to be heard! Now that the new permit-less gun carry law has passed, I feel that ALL of us are targets!! Truly, we need to stand up for whatever rights we have. I know I’m not giving up but we need to all make a stand for the little bit of right we do have!

Is there a way that you can refresh it? And maybe give a bit of clarity to just what will happen if this bill is passed with Books amendments in layman language..

Also what further action we can do, over the weekend.

In reply to Bill Johnson. What needs to be conveyed is that any rehabilitation relies on a strong support system. Now we are punishing the support system that helps get people back to a productive member of society. The vigilante aspect is very true but this is the key.

Let’s pray it can end without this hurtful and irresponsible legislation passing. Keep writhing senators.

Let’s also hope that there is an injunction already prepared to be filed immediately if it passes and it is signed.

The ACLU has been very involved and successful in Michigan with fighting that state with SO issues. Maybe they can help here in Florida as well.

Florida Statues says if your license plate is stolen they have to replace it for free, as long has you have a police report. I wonder how many times mine will get stolen. I will just have to make my own sign with my license plate number on it.
