Sickening, repulsive, and infuriating doesn’t hit the tip of the iceberg describing this officer’s actions. What’s worse are the hundreds, if not thousands, of idiotic comments left hailing this officer’s actions heroic. There’s nothing remotely heroic about this person’s actions, NOTHING!!!! I’m not sure if this officer received the maximum sentence allowed under law but they should have if they didn’t. Crap like this spreads the message everywhere: kill, steal from, harass, threaten, maim, disable, or traumatize any registrant any where and you’ll never have to worry about facing prosecution to the fullest extent of the law – NEVER!!!!!!!

How is this different from those of us who got calls saying we had to pay money or be arrested for a registry violation? I am 99% sure they were either real cops or were at one time. Some fell for it.

Again, another LE (regardless of country) tarnishing the profession that was once thought to be honorable and reputable (though history will dispute that). This is, sadly, not the first time we’ve read about someone like this who abuses their position of trust and breaches the lines the swore to stay within. Add them to the long line of those before them…

Stories like these don’t even phase me anymore. For years I’ve expected to take a bullet to the head by a “hero vigilante” upon answering a knock at my door.

If you happen to be previous law enforcement or military personnel, you might notice that your checks come with an excessive level of officers and an almost electric anticipation in the air. Especially from the rookies. You can see it in their faces “Hero cop commended and promoted for shooting and killing registrant”.
