Just my opinion but by repeating constantly in the Thursday night
broadcast…that registrants are giving street names as residences….drove home the fact that registrants are homeless….and cannot give a location besides streets …..I have reached out to John and Angel the CBS Palm Beach 12 newspeople the last time they did a spot like this…..wanting them to answer if they knew all of the offenses a person could get arrested for and be labled as a sex offender….no response…I also added,as I do with all my correspondence to my representstives, that THEY know someone right now….using their computer to committ a sex crime………maybe their best friend or neighbor or family member!!

I hope many people will contact the station. Unfortunately, I doubt it will matter. I’m not being a debbie-downer, but I have worked with and for TV stations for 10+ years. They do not care if their reports are factual, as long as it draws people to watch. The phrase “if it bleeds it leads” was created because it’s true. The two most important facts about reports is that they get it on air first, and that it draws people to watch. Any clarification or apologies will be dealt with later, and usually only if their hand is forced. I hope I am wrong in this case, I would love to see a followup report with the facts.

Herein lies the rub. Without a Facebook account, I cannot comment on over 80% of articles I read on the Internet since they require a FB login to post a reply. My first amendment freedom of speech right is not only chilled, it is frozen. I have no voice.

for those that can I suggest that you or your family members and friends write cannel 12 as I did defending rso’s . its only after they get thousands of letters defending rso’s will they change their focus. the pen is mightier than the sword.
