The survey provided successful insight into use of the FDLE Cyber Communication System.  Even with a glitch in the setting of multiple choice answers for two questions in the survey, many wrote in answers that have been added to the results here.   The results demonstrate that most respondents familiar with and approved to use the online system do use

Florida Legislators are trying to make changes to statutes 775.21 and 943.0435, some of which would make the statutes more punitive.   Besides a campaign with hundreds of people contacting legislators to oppose certain parts of the bill, a press release has been sent out.  You can read the press release here.

The Criminal Justice Committee passed unanimously SB 1230, entitled “Sexual Predators and Sexual Offenders.” See the video here OR See the video here starting at 13:00.

A bill has been introduced in Washington that would extend membership to the Washington State’s Sex Offender Policy Board (SOPB) to people who served time in jail for sex offenses.  The group would be extended to include a member of a sex offender advocacy group and “a representative with lived experience with incarceration for a sex offense,” among others.
