Osceola County conducts “Operation ‘Parking Lot Party'”
Several law enforcement agencies teamed up to arrest 67 noncompliant sexual predators and sexual offenders during a seven-month operation called “Parking Lot Party,” a news release said.
The Osceola County Sheriff’s Office, United States Marshals Service, Florida Department of Law Enforcement and State Probation and Parole conducted a joint operation to verify the compliance of the 550 registered sexual offenders and predators in Osceola County.
Law enforcement officers conducted proactive investigations to determine if the offenders had correctly reported their residency status, employment, email and social media accounts, campus activity, professional licenses, vehicles and vessels owned and had reported travel information within a 72-hour period.

The smartest thing that the criminal regime of Floriduh and all of their local criminal regimes could do is to remove any requirements that people who are listed on their hit lists need to do anything. THAT would be the smartest thing and would ALMOST make the hit lists fair and moral. Almost. They’d still have to Register ALL other people who have ever committed any serious crime.
I tried to remain compliant with their billion laws but it would not surprise me if I had failed on some occasions. The dumbest thing they could do would be to harass me about that. Or certainly arrest. Because I promise I would retaliate at a level that would make them cry. There is no way in Hades it could ever be worth it. But they are stupid, so who knows what they will do. They think this is police work, LOL.
I hope this helps make it clear to every Registered Family that you should never, ever allow law enforcement or any other big government employees to get near you. Do NOT allow them onto your property or near your family. They are obviously a danger to Americans.
Remember that “If you see something, say something”? Yeah, forget that. These people are criminals.
My bet is Channel 9 and the LE people involved will never report how many cases are unsuccessfully prosecuted (i.e. nolle prossed or dropped)
I would demand a trial by jury. If the county wants to waste taxpayers money be prepared for the fight of a lifetime. I also do not agree with showing anyone’s photo on the news who has yet to be convicted of something. When someone is found not guilty there is never a follow up story or apology. The photos imply “guilty” before even having a hearing.
What do they mean by “72 hour travel?” I am still confused. Are some or all counties saying that if you travel for 72 hours or more, you have to register the “residences” even you do not stay at any of them for the requisite 72 hours? I had heard something about counties saying that if you left your permanent residence for 72 hours, you had to register ahead of time,. Is that actually in the law or is this just another instance of counties “interpreting” the law and the state letting them get away with it like they did with ex post facto residency restrictions which the state has decreed that they cannot impose?
They are reporting silliness – You should write to the author and ask what section of the Florida Statutes require 72 hour travel notice.
Channel 9 news doesn’t care about reporting the truth. They simply sensationalise their reports. So, good luck getting a retraction or correction.
I have tried to comment on this story but am finding more and more media outlets that are not allowing for comments. I commented a few days ago on the Ocala-News’ story about the man jailed for not moving to Georgia, using recidivism statistics from DOJ and Karl Hanson’s 2015 study. With statistics like that, why is Marion County so worried about this guy? Afterwards I shut down my browser, opened up another browser and there were my comments. Later on that evening, I went back to their comment section and found that they had taken my comments down. I will admit that my comments were a little on the academic side. It appears that some outlets only want statements with no real content in them, so I am working on doing that at the same time slipping in some data.
I have found the same thing. These media outlets just want to spew the propaganda and lies of the criminal regimes and get no feedback about it. That is the EXACT and ONLY reason that these criminal regimes have tried to keep Registered People off of Facebook. There is not actual, legitimate reason for that. The reason is to try to silence dissent. That is what criminal regimes do.
Be careful as to how you advise here. I was told that if I travel outside of my registered address for more than the 3 day period, I would have to report it within 72 hours prior to leaving for my trip. So this can be looked at from 2 different perspectives, depending on which one they are referring to!
Get the name of the person who told you that and ask them for the statute or ordinance that requires that. Florida Statutes only require that you register when establishing a permanent, temporary or transient location for 3 or more days.
if you search the sex offender registration statute, “72 hours” does not appear anyplace in the statute.
Once you get the name of the person who told you this and the statute or ordinance they are referring to, share it with us.
That is what Is being said in this press release from the sheriff

I feel so much safer now knowing that these individuals, who failed to register their vessel or maybe their mother-in-law’s vehicle because she decided to stay a couple of days longer, are now in jail. I am sure that the residents of Osceola have been concerned about noncompliant individuals. I did notice, though, that not a single one of these individuals was arrested for a sex crime. I thought that was society’s biggest concern, but I was obviously wrong.
Think of the money spent on this seven-month operation with every law enforcement agency possible being paid to make the citizens so much “safer”. I see in the Jacksonville news that it has been five weeks since the murder of a Jacksonville Beach father of three and his family is pleading for answers. The father was killed in front of his two-year-old daughter. The police are asking for the public’s help in their race against time to catch the killer. I wonder if all of the manpower and money had been used instead to work on all of the unsolved crimes in Duval County, if that would have been a wiser use of these resources.
It’s hard enough to get LE to investigate real crimes. Many people don’t bother to report property crimes now because there will be NO EFFORT on LE’s part to even investigate, let alone solve these offenses that affect almost every household, making everyone feel just a little less safe.
Even serious crimes like rapes and murders go unsolved without anything that resembles a proper investigation when simply testing a rape kit might break a case wide open. Many kits in this state were left to rot for years (https://www.newsherald.com/news/20190921/state-clears-backlog-of-rape-kits) after the victim had the courage to endure the humiliation of coming forward and having their body forensically examined. Florida’s hypocrisy on sexual assault issues stinks in the worst way imaginable, made even more offensive with this heavy use of LE resources being devoted to prosecute technical violations of (supposedly) CIVIL STATUTES….WHICH SOLVES NO REAL CRIMES!
This state should hang its collective heads way low for using bully tactics to beat down those already downtrodden rather than do its job to make its citizens lives safer.
Great comment. The $EX Offender Registries ($ORs) have never protected anyone and never will. Just as ALL experts have always said. But the $ORs are much, much worse than just worthless.
The point of the $ORs is not to prevent $EX or any other crimes. The point is to retroactively harass families and create new “crimes”. Like the super serious and danger crime of not telling a criminal regime about an e-mail address that you have so that they may attempt to silence you.
THAT is the exact point of the $ORs and that is why there are these “Operation Waste Taxpayer Resources”. The “people” behind them are moron, criminal terrorists.
Why not call it “Pig Party”? Geez…as if there is not real crime going on in Osceola County to harass forced registered citizens like that.
Isn’t it enough already?!?
I read the news report and I am not surprised it came from Channel 9. They are the absolute worst media outlet when it comes to these kinds of stings. Channel 9 lies in wait the way hyenas do living off the carnage of the lives of others. As for the LE activities, I’m not surprised at all either. LE is doing all they can to justify their positions paid for by tax dollars. On another note, I bet the refuse to investigate whether the personal information of a registrant was used legally (i.e. identity theft) since nearly all of our personal identifiers are put out in the public for anyone to use to open unregistered social media accounts.
